Trustees at Beat the Cold are looking for the best way to accept payments on line. They are also looking at Gift Aid, to make the most of any amounts given to us by tax payers.
Until then, we would be pleased to receive donations in the traditional way. Please make out cheques to ‘Beat the Cold’ and send them to us at the Bridge Centre. If you would like us to use your donation for a specific purpose, please tell us.
How have we used donations?
To purchase extra oil-filled radiators. Towards the end of most winters, we run short of temporary heaters. Staff at Beat the Cold prioritise taking out temporary heaters to households struggling without heating and/or hot water. They can make the difference between coping at home or being cold and ill.
To fund repairs in more homes. Both we and our contractors are careful to keep costs as low as possible when we restore heating and hot water in vulnerable households.
